This is a vintage book, published in 1985 and comes from my private collection. There are nine gorgeous beds for you to make with pictures, diagrams, patterns and instructions.
1. Jennifer is the basic canopy bed. 2. Kathi is an exercise in simple elegance. She would look wonderful in velvet. The tailored lines lend themselves to a man's bedroom, with no ruffles, lace or frills. Carved headboard is explained. 3. Priscilla mixes prints and checks. The quilting is done by machine. Lots of lace and seven pillows. Diagonal carving is explained. 4. Dorothy is very feminine. Sheer ruffled drapes and sheer shirred top. The embroidery is done in gold thread and silk ribbon. Ruche and couching are explained. Pillows are made with cardboard. Headboard is trellis and carved. 5. Susan doubles as an alcove day bed. Two headboards and double drapes. Ten pillows, lots of lace and 36 bows. 6. Jo Ellen has a down quilt, top and bottom sheet, three different sets of pillows and cases. 7. Rose is very formal with jabots, festoons and shadow quilting. 8. Emily is country style with plaid and five prints used together. Tailored box pleats on the skirt and tailored pleats on drape made on d. Anne Ruff's Pretty Pleat. Heirloom coverlet is an altered kit from June Grigg Designs Inc. Quilt is explained. 9. Judie is lots of embroidery. Lace canopy top, antique finish and handpainted flowers to match quilt. 50 pages. Sorry, this book has been sold.
